1.

Neal Melton is seen flying his Republic P-47D Thunderbolt "Hun Hunter XVI" over Douglas Lake, TN. The aircraft is based at the Tennessee Museum of Aviation in Sevierville, TN.

2.

Two Hawker Hurricanes of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, LF363 and PZ865, caught in the air over Lincolnshire flying back to their home base at RAF Coningsby on 27 September 2009. They were being flown by Sqn Ldr Ian Smith (LF363) and Wg Cdr Ian Laing (PZ865), in what was a rare opportunity to capture both in the air together.

Tony Banta flying his beautiful North American P-51D Mustang “Kimberly Kaye” during the 2009 Planes of Fame Airshow.

4.

Built for the military in 1944 as a Dominie Mk.1 (s/n NR683), this de Havilland D.H. 89A Dragon Rapide Mk.4 later saw service as part of British European Airways making flights between England and Ireland. Purchased by the late Bud Field in 1992, it was restored over the years, making its first flight again in May of 2010 and is seen being flown by Jimmy Rollison over Woodland, CA.

John Hinton flying the Freidkin Family Warbirds’ Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat “225” during an Air Classics photo shoot in January 2008 overhead Chino, CA.

Glenn Goldman flying Dave Tinker's Grumman TBM-3E Avenger "Ida Red" (BuNo 85882) over Geneseo, NY on July 10, 2009.

7.

Tom Wathen's replica of Michel Detroyat's 1936 Thompson Trophy winning Caudron C.460 racer, airborne over Hemet, CA in May of 2011 being flown by Mark Lightsey. Camera ship was a T-34 flown by Jim Ostrich.

8.

Jay McIntyre flies Piper Super Cub ZK-BRO following a total refurbishment by his company JEM Aviation. Several months before this photo was taken the aircraft suffered an engine failure and force landed into a riverbed. As can be expected the aircraft was badly damaged but it is now happily flying again in the North Island of New Zealand.

9.

Powered by an upgraded 360 horsepower nine-cylinder Vedeneyev radial engine with a three-bladed prop, Hal Morley is seen flying his 1972 Nanchang CJ-6A over Santa Rosa, CA.

10.

U.S Navy Capt Mark “Mutha” Hubbard getting airborne in F/A-18C Hornet (BuNo 163733) at EAA AirVenture 2011 in Oshkosh, WI. The U.S Navy celebrated the Centennial of Naval Aviation by painting modern military aircraft in vintage schemes; The Hornet is seen in a classic WWII triple tone camouflage scheme.

11.

A German Air Force A-310-304 (10-22 s/n 499) is seen landing at Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson airport on the evening of June 24, 2011 carrying the German delegation for the 2011 G20 Summit.

12.

Bob Coolbaugh’s 1911 Curtiss-Ely Pusher replica is seen departing runway 18 at EAA AirVenture 2011. The Curtiss-Ely Pusher made the first carrier landing on the deck of the U.S. Navy’s USS Pennsylvania in San Francisco Bay on January 18, 1911, beginning the era of Naval Aviation.
