Mark Peterson is seen flying his Dornier GMBH Alpha-Jet with Gayle Sewell in the back seat in formation with Phil Fogg in his Aero Vodochody L-39 Albatros, with backseater John Stewart. The formation took place during “Jet Blast” at Yolo County Airport and was photographed over the California coastline with the Bay Bridge and downtown San Francisco in the background.

2.

Seen during the annual Historical Aircraft Museum's “Greatest Show on Turf” Airshow at Geneseo, NY, is the Commemorative Air Force’s N.A. P-51D Mustang “Red Nose” being piloted by Robert “Skipper” Hyle.

3.

Allied Fighters’ Lockheed P-38L Lightning and N.A. P-51D Mustang formate over Chino, CA in preparation for the 2010 Planes of Fame Airshow. Jeff Harris is flying the P-38L with John Maloney in the P-51D.

4.

John Romain flying the Russell Group's Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX, MK912 over Niagara Falls, Canada.

5.

This de Havilland Devon flies under the NZ Warbirds banner and originally served with the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Barry Keay is flying it South of Blenheim with a load of Air Force mechanics on board to assist him with some spare parts and the skill to keep it flying.

6.

Bernie Vasquez is seen flying Ben Marsh’s beautiful Yakovlev Yak-52 “ESCAPE” south of Eagles Nest airport in Ione, CA.

7.

Jimmy Leeward rounding Pylon 8 in his highly modified North American P-51D (44-15651 N79111) "The Galloping Ghost" at the 2010 National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV. Since "The Galloping Ghost" did not have a qualifying time/speed, the aircraft had to work its way to the Sunday Breitling Gold race by winning the Medallion on Thursday, the Bronze on Friday and the Silver on Saturday.

Dennis Buehn's North American SNJ-4 Texan "Midnight Express" being flown by Warbirds Of America President Rick Siegfried at the 2010 National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV.

9.

Rookie Rod Lewis in his Grumman F7F-3P Tigercat "El Jefe" at the 2010 National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV. Rod raced the Tigercat into Sunday’s Unlimited Breitling Gold race, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to high winds resulting in being awarded 7th place based on Saturday's result.

10.

The new merger of United with Continental Airlines has brought about a new scheme for their planes wearing the Continental tail with the United name on the front of the fuselage. B-737 N78285 is seen coming into San Francisco International to go on display for UAL’s Open House during Fleet Week.

11.

Erickson Air Cranes Sikorsky S-64F Skycrane "Goliath" Helitanker performs a water drop at Airventure 2010 in Oshkosh, WI. Since certification in 1992, the Helitanker has seen worldwide service, fighting fires in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Borneo, Italy, Greece, France, Turkey, and Australia.

12.

Commemorative Air Force's Boeing B-29A (s/n 44-62070, N529B) “Fifi” being flown by Paul Stojkov, Ole Nygren and John Schauer during a simulated low-altitude bombing run at Midland, Texas as part of the "Pacific Theatre" segment of the 2010 CAF AirSho.
