John Maloney is seen flying the Planes of Fame Air Museum’s P-47G Thunderbolt. The rare Thunderbolt is painted in 56th Fighter Group ace Bud Mahurin’s colors as 42-8487 “Spirit of Atlantic City, N.J”.

2.

2011-2012 US Aerobatic Champion Rob Holland flying his MX inverted while Mustang pilots Mark Murphy, in P-51D “NEVER Miss”, and Bill Shepard, in P-51C “Tuskegee Airmen”, hold a tight formation at the 2012 Geneseo Airshow.

3.

Jason Somes is seen flying the Commemorative Air Force – Southern California Wing’s Mitsubishi A6M3 “Zero” enroute from Falcon Field, AZ back to its home base in Camarillo, CA.

4.

Keith Skilling (in the rear cockpit) is seen here flying Doug Brooker’s (in the front) Supermarine Spitfire Tr.9 near Ardmore, in Auckland. The aircraft had just competed flight testing following importation into New Zealand by Doug. An accomplished aerobatic pilot, Doug flew a display at Ardmore in December 2010 that left the crowd speechless.

Chris Fahey in the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 Fagot leads Steve Hinton flying the North American F-86F Sabre. Both aircraft are owned by the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, CA and can be seen every year at their annual airshow performing a fast paced display. This year’s show will be held May 4th and 5th.

McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C (BuNo. 163733) with Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-122 "Flying Eagles" based at NAS Lemoore recovering after a local sortie at a nearby range while on Det at Naval Air Facility El Centro. The Hornet is painted in a tri-color blue/blue/white World War II scheme commemorating the 100th Anniversary/Centennial of Naval Aviation finished as a Grumman F6F Hellcat of VF-17 - Carrier Air Group 17(CVG-17) on the USS Hornet CV-12 1944/45.

Keith McMann in North American Harvard MK. IV Race 64 “Red Knight” leads Vic McMann in North American AT-6A Race 66 “Gunslinger” at the 2012 Reno National Championship Air Races.

8.

A 1958 DeHavilland DH82A Thruxton Jackaroo (C-FPHZ Serial # 6924) is seen at the “Tiger Boys” Fly-In on September 19, 2009 at Guelph Air Park in Guelph, Ontario.

9.

Built under license by Moraine Saulnier in France, this Fieseler Storch Fi-156C was owned by Steve Ericson when photographed at the Minter Field air show in California. NX41FS had its original eight-cylinder inverted-V Argus engine replaced with a six-cylinder horizontally opposed engine.
