1.

Mark Allen is seen flying the West Texas Wing of the Commemorative Air Force’s Curtiss-Wright SB2C Helldiver during the 2011 Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum airshow at Hamilton, Ontario. This year’s airshow will be held on June 16-17.

2.

Seen arriving at the NATO Tiger Meet 2011, which took place in Cambraii, France, is a Czech Air Force Saab JAS 39 Gripen. 2011 marked the 50th anniversary of the NATO Tiger Association establishment and this Gripen was the "flag ship" of 211 "Tiger" squadron from Caslav Air Base. The tail art was made with special stickers and includes a tiger footprint with a tiger inside and tiger eyes on the canards.

Family owned since 1966, Steve Coutches and his son fly their rare North American P-51H Mustang during the 2011 Mustang Days event at the Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville, CA.

4.

Bob DeFord flying his full size replica Spitfire Mk IX at the 2011 Cactus Fly In at Casa Grande, AZ. Powered by an Allison V-1710 it has a steel tube fuselage and wooden wings. This year’s Cactus Fly In will be held on March 2-3.

5.

Trent Latshaw flying his beautiful North American P-51D Mustang "The Millie G" during a Warbird Digest photo shoot. The original "The Millie G" was the aircraft of Major Edward Giller of the 343rd Fighter Squadron, 55th Fighter Group.

6.

Gavin Trethewey flies the Vintage Wings of Canada’s Curtiss P-40N Kittyhawk following restoration by Pioneer Aero at Ardmore in New Zealand. The airplane is seen here on its last flight in New Zealand skies before being flown home to Canada at 0.86 mach in the cargo hold of a C-17 Globemaster.

Jimmy Ferreira flying his 150hp Lycoming O-320 powered 1979 Bellanca Citabria 7GCBC, with Dex Raphael in the back seat, over the Ione, CA area. The aircraft was restored in 2004 by Chamberlain Aviation in Rodeo, NM.

8.

The Warbird Heritage Foundation’s (WHF) North American F-86-30 Sabre "Smokey" departing runway 18 during the 2011 EAA AirVenture airshow in Oshkosh, WI.

9.

Clay Lacy flying North America's only flyable Douglas DC-2, with former Boeing test pilot Buzz Nelson in the right seat. Taken over Sacramento, CA, the DC-2 was enroute to the Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA.

10.

Lockheed CC-130E Hercules of No.436 Squadron is seen taking off during the Trenton Air Show in the late 1980’s. Later modified for Electronic Warfare during the Gulf War, 130315 C/N 4070 is now stored at Trenton, Ontario and used as a ground instructional aid.

11.

York Regional Police Eurocopter EC120B helicopter landing at Toronto’s Buttonville airport.

12.

Skylease Cargo McDonnell Douglas MD-11F (CN 48495/461) taking off from Miami International Airport on November 21, 2011. This aircraft entered service with Skylease Cargo in 2009.
