1.

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Avro Lancaster Mk. X leads the Commemorative Air Force’s B-29 Superfortress during a photo flight in preparation for the 2012 Hamilton International Airshow. This year’s show will be held on June 15-16 and will feature the Military Aviation Museum’s DeHavilland Mosquito and numerous other rare warbirds.

Simon Paul is seen flying the Sopwith Pup replica owned and operated by The Chariots of Fire Fighter Collection based at Omaka, NZ. The aircraft is a faithful replica fitted with a 80hp Le Rhone rotary engine.

Dennis Sanders in Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 “Argonaut” leads Korey Wells in Hawker Sea Fury T.20 “924” during a photo shoot for Warbirds International magazine. The two Sea Furies, owned by the Sanders family, were holding over Lake Matthews, CA on May 3rd, 2013 before proceeding into Chino, CA to participate in the 2013 Planes of Fame Airshow.

Doug Jackson flying his replica Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero "TORA 101", a modified RCAF Harvard Mk.4 at Geneseo, New York. "TORA 101" was built up by Twentieth Century Fox Studios in 1969 as an A6M2 Model 21 Zero fighter. It appeared in the movies TORA! TORA! TORA! and Midway as well as the television series Baa Baa Black Sheep.

The Fighter Collection’s Goodyear FG-1D Corsair is seen at the 2008 Flying Legends airshow in Duxford, UK. This year’s show will be held on July 13-14.

6.

Sam Knaub and Ryan Smith fly the Florida Air Transport Douglas C-54E Skymaster back to Castle Airport in California. The aircraft is equipped with spray bars for oil dispersal in the event of an oil spill on the water. This plane was previously configured as a fire tanker #151.

7.

Air Canada Airbus A319 C-FZUH is about to touch down on runway 26R at Vancouver International Airport in the late afternoon west coast sun. C-FZUH was delivered to Air Canada in August of 1997 and is painted to represent the color scheme worn by a Trans-Canada Air Lines Lockheed Model 10 Electra in 1937. The Lockheed Model 10 Electra was Trans-Canada Air Lines first official passenger airliner and served from 1937 until 1941.

8.

Charles R Joys Thunderbee seen departing Oshkosh, WI during Airventure 2011. C-FOME began life as a standard 1947 Republic RC-3 Seabee until being converted into a Thunderbee. The primary modifications include the installation of the Robinson LS V8 engine conversion, incorporating a Chevy LS-1 engine of 320HP, Freon air conditioning, and fully digital avionics package, with a dual channel autopilot and dual battery backup systems. In keeping with the Republic naming protocol of Thunderbolt, Thunderjet, Thunderstreak and Thunderchief, the highly modified seaplane was named the Thunderbee!

9.

Based in London, Ontario is the Jet Aircraft Museum’s 1957 Canadair T-33AN Silver Star Mk. 3 (133577, C-FRGA). It is seen landing at Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson Airport on September 2, 2012 during the Canadian International Airshow.
