DESKTOP WALLPAPERS - JULY 2016

Warbird Depot is proud to offer you the following desktop wallpapers. Feel free to download any of the Warbird Depot desktop wallpapers below for your own personal use, however, if you wish to publish them in any way, or require the original pictures, please e-mail Mark Watt.

1.

Rand Siegfried fly’s the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Ford Tri-Motor 4-AT-E over the Sierra Foothills of Northern California during a flight from Lincoln Airport to Groveland. What is not commonly known is that the EAA has two Ford Tri-Motor’s and they are painted in similar colors, so while this one was on the west coast tour, the other one remained on the east coast. If you’ve only flown on one of them, you might want to check the tail numbers, so you fly on the other one and have both of them in your books!

2.

The Commemorative Air Force’s West Texas Wing Curtiss-Wright SB2C Helldiver being flown by Mark Allen during the 2011 Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Airshow in Hamilton, Ontario.

3.

Mark Watt flying Chuck Greenhill’s beautiful North American P-51D Mustang “Lou IV” during a photo shoot north of Oshkosh, WI at AirVenture 2010. This Mustang is now owned by the Mid America Flight Museum based in MT. Pleasant, Texas.

4.

Jim Beasley brings his beautiful Supermarine Spitfire Mk. XVIII SM969 up close above Chester County G.O. Carlson Airport in Coatesville, PA. This Spitfire is now owned by Lawrence Classics LLC, Bentonville, Arkansas.

5.

Seen taking off at Orillia’s Lake St. John Seaplane base, C-FYYN is a 300 Horsepower 2009 North Star Bush Plane “Monster” Cub (SN104), based at Brechen, Ontario.

6.

This Cessna 305A Bird Dog, probably better know as the Cessna L-19A and later as the Cessna O-1G Bird Dog (c/n 22737), was manufactured for the US Army as s/n 51-16903 (as in the tail number). It came to New Zealand via South Vietnam and became ZK-FYA on August 12, 1991 with Raven Air Ltd, then to Bird Dog Aviation in September of 1991 and to its current listed owner, Spy Valley Trust from October 20, 2011.
