Vintage Aero Flying Museum’s Fokker Dr. I replica photographed during their annual flying day/airshow at the Platte Valley Airpark in Fort Lupton, Colorado. It is powered by a "flat" Lycoming IO-360 that develops 180 HP; the original Oberursel powerplant only produced 110 HP. The cylinders showing beneath the front cowl are actually there merely to lend a measure of authenticity to the appearance as the original planes had rotary engines.
