1.

A rare formation of two Republic P-47 Thunderbolts over Chino, California during the 2014 Planes of Fame airshow. Steve Hinton leads the formation in Comanche Fighters’ P-47G “Snafu”, followed by Neal Melton in his P-47D “Hun Hunter XVI”.

Gene DeMarco flies one of two Fe.2b fighter bombers operated by The Vintage Aviator Limited (TVAL) The WWI era fighter/bomber is a big aeroplane with a wingspan that is just a couple of feet short of a Cessna Caravan! TVAL also operate a black night bomber Fe.2b which must have been terrifying to fly at times!

This 211 Tactical Squadron SAAB JAS 39D Gripen (training version) from Caslav Air Force Base (Czech Republic) is used for training newcomers (mainly pilots transitioning from the Aero L159 ALCA). The Czech Air Force has two version D Gripens. The only difference between the C and D versions is the on board mounted Mauser gun, which is missing in the two-seater.

Edward Soye is seen flying the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association’s Harvard Mk.4 (20436) over Tillsonburg, Ontario.

Constructed as a U.S. Navy Grumman C-1A Trader (the Carrier Onboard Delivery variant of the anti-submarine S-2 Tracker), BuNo. 136781 received a civilian certificate of airworthiness on October 31, 1986 as N475AM which is the current registration. The Trader was registered to Duane Doyle and Bill Montague of Oakland during October of 2001 through 2013. It was donated in flying condition to the Flight Wing at the Pacific Coast Air Museum in Santa Rosa, CA, and is seen here being flown by Lynn Hunt during the annual Wings over Wine Country Air Show.

6.

John Kettlewell is seen taking off in his Aviat A-1C Husky CN-3108 at Buttonville, Ontario. (CYKZ).
