Chuck Gardner in the Cavanaugh Flight Museumís N.A P-51D Mustang "The Brat III" leading the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museumís Avro Lancaster Mk X, being flown by Leon Evans and Sten Palbom, during an Air Classics magazine photo flight prior to the 2012 Hamilton Airshow.

2.

A Fokker Dr.1, being flown by Stuart Tantrum, prior to the Classic Fighters 2007 airshow at Omaka in New Zealand. Seven Fokker Dr.1s flew together for the first time in decades, all operated by The Vintage Aviator Limited and all put back into airworthy condition by Stuart and a team of engineers based at Omaka. Today, four of them can be found on static (but airworthy) display in the Aviation Heritage Centre at Omaka and the other three are flown on a regular basis from Hood aerodrome near Masterton in the North Island of New Zealand.

3.

Steve Coutches is seen flying his familyís rare North American P-51H Mustang during the annual Gathering of Mustangs at the Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville, Ca. The H model was designed to be a faster P-51 built at the end of WWII with a taller tail, longer fuselage, different engine scoop, smaller landing gear and Packard Merlin V-1650-9 engine. This is one of 30 Mustangs that were once owned by Mike Coutches, Steve's dad. The photo plane was flown by Mike DeCastro and Jerry Anderson.

4.

As a United Airlines Airbus A319 lines up for Runway 28R at SFO, a much smaller Cessna 525 would appear to be sneaking in under his wing. The Cessna 525 is lined up for 28L and the compression from the telephoto lens makes them appear closer than the 750 feet between the runways.

8.

The Planes of Fame Air Museum Boeing P-26 Peashooter, being flown by John Maloney, takes off from runway 26R during the 2013 Planes of Fame airshow in Chino, CA.
