1.

John Maloney is seen flying the Planes of Fame Air Museum’s combat veteran Curtiss P-40N Warhawk over the Saddleback Mountains south of Chino, CA. The P-40 is painted in 325th FG Checkertail Clan colors.

2.

George Perez and his wife take a flight in his North American P-51D Mustang over the Sonoma Valley vineyards of California. Perez's Mustang is not a regular on the air show circuit, but can usually be seen at the Sonoma Valley/Schellville Airport.

3.

Mike Potter flying the Vintage Wings of Canada’s Spitfire Mk.XVI SL 721 over the Gatineau Hills after the Battle of Britain Flypast at Ottawa in 2008. Photo plane was Harvard 20451 owned by VWoC and flown by John Aitken.

4.

Gene DeMarco flies one of three airworthy SE.5a fighters operated by The Vintage Aviator Limited. Their aircraft have been built using original plans, and all components are produced in house by TVAL. Original Hispano Suiza engines are fitted and the aircraft are a delight to fly.

5.

Lone Star Flight Museum’s North American B-25J Mitchell “Special Delivery”, being flown by Tom Gregory III and Doug Peoples, over Galveston, TX. Painted to commemorate the Doolittle Raiders, it honors the 80 brave men who flew 16 land-based B-25s off the USS Hornet in the first raid against the Japanese home islands.

Steve Hinton taxiing out in the Flying Heritage Collection’s rare combat veteran North American P-51D Mustang “UPUPA EPOPS” (S/N 44-72364) during EAA AirVenture 2005 at Oshkosh, WI. This aircraft was flown by fighter ace Lt. Harrison B. “Bud” Tordoff of the Eighth Air Force, 353rd FG, 352nd FS in the later stages of World War II.

7.

Chuck Greenhill departing EAA AirVenture 2011 at Oshkosh, WI, in his rare 1939 Grumman J2F-4 Duck. This award winning warbird is one of only two airworthy survivors from the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor.

8.

Richard Pittet is seen flying his immaculate 1946 Cessna 140 near Guelph Airpark on September 18, 2011. Photo plane was a Citabria owned and flown by Bruce Paylor.

9.

Joe Tobul’s Chance Vought F4U-4 Corsair "Korean War Hero" (BuNo 97143), which is a Korean War combat veteran. The Corsair is seen at EAA AirVenture 2011 at Oshkosh, WI where it won the Best Fighter award.

10.

This Grumman S-3B Viking of VX-30 Bloodhounds is seen flying over Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego during the 100th Anniversary of Naval Aviation. Based at Naval Air Station Point Mugu, Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 30 (VX-30) are the only squadron supporting the S-3 Vikings, which are used for their surveillance capabilities on the Sea Test Range.

11.

Aeronautica Militare Italiana Airbus A319-115X (c/n 2507 MM-62243), operated by 31 Stormo, on short final for Toronto’s Lester B Pearson International Airport’s Runway 05 and carrying the then Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to the 2010 G8/G20 Economic Summit.
