1.

A formation of two different variants of the North American P-51 Mustang at the 2014 Planes of Fame Airshow. John Hinton leads in the POF’s N.A. P-51A “Mrs. Virginia”, followed by John Maloney in the Warhawk Air Museum’s N.A. P-51C “Boise Bee”.

2.

Gavin Trethewey flies the Vintage Wings of Canada’s Curtiss P-40N Kittyhawk following restoration by Pioneer Aero at Ardmore in New Zealand.

3.

Chris Prevost flies his Grumman F3F-2 over Sonoma Valley. His pre-war fighter was one of three Grumman F3F's recovered from Hawaii and rebuilt to fly again, wearing its original paint scheme from 1938.

4.

Dr. Kerstin Kelly flying her Bellanca Citabria C-FXTF over Lake Scugog, Ontario.

5.

Chris Galloway flies his 1936 Waco YQC near Woodland, CA. and bases it at Yolo County Airport. This airplane was the first YQC to be built and was the prototype for the series YQC, ZQC and AQC (all the same airframe, different engines). It was sold new and was used as a corporate transport until World War II, and then used during the war for submarine patrol on the East coast.

6.

The Warbird Heritage Foundation’s Douglas A-4B Skyhawk departs AirVenture 2010 in Oshkosh, WI to perform in the jet warbird show. It is painted to represent an A-4C flown by LCDR Ted "T.R." Swartz, who flew off of the aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard (CVA-31) during the Vietnam War. On May 1, 1967, LCDR Swartz shot down a MIG-17 over North Vietnam with an unguided ZUNI rocket. This was the only air-to-air kill by a Skyhawk during the Vietnam War.
